Lakeside Terrace

We were asked to help renovate an old paver patio that stepped immediately off the back of a beautiful Tudor style home overlooking Lake Macatawa. Settling and deterioration had done a number on the existing space that the clients used frequently for friends and family to gather for parties. Since the old paver base was compromised, we removed all the material in the rear and reinstalled it in order to create a more stable terrace for another lower level patio to connect for guest overflow and provide a more intimate space to enjoy a natural gas firepit while still maintaining great sunset views of the lake.

An outdoor grill area and bar were feature points in the structural design, along with custom cedar arbors that we designed and installed to better reflect the existing beam-work on the front of the house entryway.

Dimensional bluestone was installed to create a timeless patio material that would compliment the Tudor-esque architecture of the house. Many details, such as a custom inlay, were designed and implemented on-site between the house and bar area to create a subtle focal point as well were included in this project, making it truly unique.
